SEO Hacks: Creating Multiple Pieces of Content with One Pillar Page

Are you working to improve your small business SEO strategy while finding more efficient ways to do so? By now, you know that regularly creating quality content is necessary to grow your site and presence organically. The same is true if you want to publish a newsletter or build a presence on social media.

However, people are consuming more content than ever before, which means simple or basic pieces aren’t going to provide the unique perspective they are searching for. To help combat this problem, be sure the content you create is native to all platforms.

This may seem like a tall order. Creating unique content for all platforms would take a while. However, you don’t have to start from scratch. It’s possible to take a single idea for content and create several pieces. This allows you to scale across several platforms while improving your brand awareness.

Keep reading for some tips to help you use this strategy.

Have an Attention-Grabbing Topic

Sometimes, coming up with an idea for a new piece of content is the most difficult step. However, you have a few options. For example, you can start with keyword research and create a topic off of a popular keyword. You can also create a breakdown of your service or product or even interview someone who is an expert on what your business does.

Write Your Outline First

When creating a structure for your blog, start with the outline. Include questions that your audience may want to know. This will help you have talking points for each part of the content.

Decide Where the Piece Will be Distributed

Once you have your outline, you can start writing (or creating a video), whichever format of content you have chosen. The way you distribute the content you create depends on how you write or record it. Your business type often dictates whether it should be more professional or casual. Be sure to break it up into digestible segments.

Chop It Up

Once your content is created, it’s time to chop it up. Take out certain sections or headings that could stand alone and make them do that. You can break up the content into a three or four-part series or resource and post it across the web. This is true no matter if you are creating blogs or video content.

Send It Out Into the World

Once you have chopped up your content, you are ready to send it into the world. This will let you see how it works and if your efforts to turn a single piece of content into multiple were effective. Once you have done this a few times, you will find it much easier. When it comes to improving and growing your small business SEO strategy, this will help you save time and effort in the long run. You can also reach out to professionals, who can help with a content creation strategy.
